MIG/MAG Welding (Continuous Wire)

Welding

Contract MIG/MAG Welding Service

Continuous wire welding is the workhorse industrial process when high execution speed, deep root penetration on thick materials, and cost competitiveness are paramount.

Maximum Strength for Medium-Heavy Fabrication

Looking for a strategic partner for contract MIG/MAG welding? Our fabrication shop offers a high-efficiency robotic and manual joining service, ideal for companies that need robust structures, excellent mechanical strength and optimized production times. With modern welding stations and a team of qualified professional welders, we handle large industrial batches and medium-heavy fabrication orders with maximum reliability.

Continuous wire welding (MIG/MAG) is the industrial process of choice when execution speed, deep joint penetration and cost competitiveness are required. Choosing us as your subcontracting partner means optimizing your supply chain with a supplier able to guarantee consistent quality standards and full compliance with delivery deadlines.

Technical Distinction & Benefits

Continuous wire welding comes in two variants depending on the shielding gas used: MIG (Metal Inert Gas, with inert gases such as Argon) and MAG (Metal Active Gas, with active gases such as Argon/CO2 mixtures). The filler material is fed automatically as a metal wire. Integrating this process into our contract workshop offers concrete benefits for your production:

High Speed & Productivity

Continuous wire feed eliminates electrode change downtime, boosting output on large structural assemblies.

Deep Penetration & Structural Strength

The ideal technology for heavy and medium-heavy fabrication. It ensures deep, stable joints that withstand maximum mechanical stress and heavy structural loads.

Excellent Thickness Handling

Thick sheets and plates are welded with great ease. With modern pulsed or synergic wire welders, we also precisely handle intermediate thicknesses without distorting the material.

Repeatability & Economies of Scale

The smooth process makes wire welding perfect for use with assembly jigs and fixtures, ensuring every part in the batch is dimensionally identical to the original technical drawing.

Industries We Serve

Our contract supply of wire-welded parts serves industries that require high structural strength combined with large volumes:

Agricultural & Earthmoving Machinery

Tractor frames, excavator arms, buckets, dump bodies and structural components subjected to heavy loads and mechanical stress.

Automotive & Industrial Vehicles

Truck bodies, trailers, support frames, engine brackets and components for special vehicles.

Construction & Infrastructure

Steel beams, anchor plates, structural brackets, fire escapes and load-bearing structures for photovoltaic or industrial plants.

Plant Engineering & Logistics

Bases for industrial machinery, roller conveyor lines, structures for automated warehouses and material handling carts.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Which materials and metals can be wire welded?

We have versatile synergic equipment that can be precisely adjusted to the chemical and physical properties of the materials in your projects. We perform MAG welding on iron and carbon steel (the most common application in industrial fabrication for frames, bases and heavy brackets), MIG welding on stainless steel (with specific wires and filler materials to preserve the stainless properties and corrosion resistance of the alloy) and MIG welding on aluminum, using special push-pull wire feed systems to overcome aluminum's high thermal conductivity and obtain light, strong welds.

How is part preparation optimized before welding?

In contract manufacturing, welding costs are closely tied to the geometric accuracy of the components. Thanks to our in-house sheet and tube laser cutting departments, parts reach the welders' bench perfectly squared and burr-free. If the project requires it, we also bevel the edges in-house to best accommodate the weld pool and ensure full-penetration welds.

How do you prevent distortion caused by the heat of wire welding?

To ensure maximum precision and avoid structural distortion caused by the significant heat input of wire welding, our technical office designs and builds custom clamping fixtures and jigs for each order. The part is always welded in the optimal position, eliminating production scrap and strictly meeting the tightest dimensional tolerances of your drawings.

What is the key difference between MIG and MAG welding?

The difference lies solely in the type of shielding gas used to isolate the weld pool from the atmosphere. MIG (Metal Inert Gas) uses an inert gas such as high-purity Argon and is suited to non-ferrous materials such as aluminum or stainless steel. MAG (Metal Active Gas) instead uses a mixture of active gases, usually Argon combined with varying percentages of CO₂, which actively takes part in the fusion reaction and increases weld penetration, making it ideal for iron and carbon steels.
