TIG Welding

Welding

Contract TIG Welding Service

Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) arc welding represents the absolute gold standard when joint quality, hermetic seal, and flawless visual appearance are mandatory.

Certified Quality & High Structural Integrity

Executed by certified master welders for high-spec applications in food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical, and luxury architectural sectors.

TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) technology is the absolute benchmark when weld quality is the priority. Subcontracting for technical markets has pushed us to perfect every detail of the process, guaranteeing maximum penetration, zero porosity and full compliance with the dimensional tolerances of your technical drawings.

Industrial Advantages of TIG Welding

TIG welding is an arc welding process using a non-consumable tungsten electrode shielded by an inert gas (usually Argon). It can be performed by direct fusion of the edges or with the addition of a filler rod. Although it requires great manual skill, this technique offers unbeatable advantages over other joining methods (such as MIG/MAG welding):

Hermetic & Pressure-Tight Joints

Porosity-free, slag-free weld beads engineered for pressure vessels, gas lines, and fluid containment.

Exquisite "Stacked-Coin" Aesthetics

Perfectly uniform, clean weld ripple pattern reducing post-weld cosmetic finishing.

Total Heat Input Control

Fine arc control allows precision welding on ultra-thin sheet metal without thermal deformation.

Zero Spatter or Slag

Unlike MIG/MAG, TIG produces no weld spatter, preserving the clean sheet surface.

Key Industrial Sectors

Our contract TIG welding service is in high demand in industries where mechanical strength, hygiene and appearance are mandatory:

Food & Horeca

Storage tanks, mixers, food liquid piping, hoods and industrial kitchens in stainless steel.

Chemical, Pharmaceutical & Medical

Process plants, autoclaves, heat exchangers and cleanroom furnishings requiring perfectly smooth, sanitizable surfaces.

Automotive & Motorsport

Exhaust manifolds, intake lines, special tanks and components for lightweight aluminum or chromoly frames.

High-End Furniture & Architecture

Exposed metal structures for shops, tables, chairs and designer furnishings in stainless steel or brass with invisible or perfectly blended welds.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Which materials and metal alloys can be TIG welded?

The versatility of our equipment and the experience of our welders allow us to work on a wide range of metals by setting the machine to direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC). We TIG weld stainless steel (AISI 304, 316, 430, etc.), ensuring perfect protection of the weld pool even on the back of the joint through gas back-purging to prevent oxidation ("sugaring"); aluminum and its alloys in alternating current (AC) for crack-free structural joints; and iron and carbon steels for precision components, manifolds and special piping. We also work special alloys such as titanium, copper, nickel and brass.

How do you ensure accurate fit-up before welding?

In contract manufacturing, efficiency comes from the precision of the previous steps: a TIG weld is only perfect if the parts have been properly prepared. Thanks to our in-house sheet laser cutting, tube laser cutting and CNC bending departments, components reach the welding bench with very tight geometric tolerances. This reduces tack-welding time and optimizes setup, lowering the production cost of the order.

How are structural distortions managed on series batches?

For series production or complex geometries that tend to distort under heat input, our in-house technical office designs and builds dedicated clamping jigs and fixtures. This locks the part firmly in its correct nominal position, eliminating distortion and guaranteeing full repeatability and conformity of the entire batch.

What is back-purging with inert gas?

Back-purging involves flooding the interior of stainless steel pipes or back surfaces with Argon gas during TIG welding. This prevents atmospheric oxidation ("sugaring" or decarbonization) and preserves 100% corrosion resistance.
